Summary

Chat-X does not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal data. The extension runs entirely inside your own browser. There is no server, no account, no analytics and no tracking of any kind.

What the extension does

Chat-X changes how the direct-messages page of x.com is displayed: it applies a full-screen, Messenger-style layout, and opens shared posts in a side panel. It only restyles pages you are already viewing while signed in to X.

Data we collect

None. The extension does not read, copy or send the contents of your messages anywhere. No data ever leaves your device.

Why the permissions are needed

• Access to x.com and twitter.com — required to apply the layout and styles to the messages page. The extension is limited to these two sites and does nothing on any other website.
• declarativeNetRequest — used only to allow an X post page to be displayed inside the side panel of the messages page. The rule applies exclusively to requests made to x.com and twitter.com, and only for content loaded inside that panel. It does not inspect, log or modify any of your data, and it does not affect any other website.

Third parties

No data is shared with third parties, because no data is collected. The extension makes no network requests of its own; everything it displays comes from X itself, in your own signed-in session.
